Irving, TX – December 17, 2024 – iAngler Tournament Systems, in partnership with CCA Florida, proudly announces the successful removal of 7,460 pounds of trash and debris from Florida’s waterways and shorelines through a series of virtual Coastal Cleanup Challenges held in 2024.
The impactful clean-up efforts were conducted as part of three key events aimed at tackling pollution and protecting Florida’s marine environments:
2024 World Oceans Day Trash Tournament – 970 pounds of trash and debris removed.
2024 International Coastal Cleanup Day Trash Tournament – 260 pounds of trash and debris removed.
2024 CCA FL Hurricane Relief Trash Tournament – 6,230 pounds of trash and debris removed.
These tournaments, powered by the iAngler platform, provided a unique, virtual approach to community engagement, allowing volunteers across Florida to participate in targeted trash collection efforts. With increasing environmental challenges, these events highlight the importance of collaboration in preserving coastal ecosystems and waterways.
“Our partnership with CCA Florida reflects a shared commitment to protecting Florida’s natural resources and empowering individuals to take action,” said Michael Christopher, Managing Director of iAngler Tournament Systems. “The removal of over 7,000 pounds of debris is a testament to the power of community and technology to drive environmental change.”
CCA Florida, a leader in marine conservation efforts, applauds the dedication of participants and partners in these tournaments. The collective impact of volunteers showcases how grassroots initiatives can make a measurable difference in safeguarding Florida’s coastal habitats.
iAngler Tournament Systems and CCA Florida look forward to continuing this vital work, engaging communities, and raising awareness for marine conservation. Future cleanup events will build on this momentum, encouraging even greater participation.
