iAngler Tournament and CCA Florida Partner to Host Annual Cleanup Event for World Oceans Day

iAngler Tournament and CCA Florida partnered to celebrate World Oceans Day and provide a unique and fun way to get outside and help clean our coastal environments. The “2024 CCA Florida World Oceans Day Trash Tournament presented by Sea-Doo and Can-Am Off-Road” was a statewide event running from June 8 to June 15.

Trash tournaments are events run like a fishing tournament, but instead of submitting fish, participants submit their catch of trash. Each bag of trash equaled one raffle entry. The more trash photos a participant submitted, the greater their chances of winning one of the following prizes:

• Two (2) American Express worth $150 each

• Eight ( Academy Sporting Goods gift cards worth $75 each

This year, 63 volunteers participated across the state and removed 143 five-gallon buckets of trash and marine debris weighing more than 1200 pounds. Some notable finds included a stroller, hammock and large electric cable coil! 2024 is the sixth year that iAngler Tournament and CCA Florida have partnered to host cleanup events for World Oceans Day.
